私にとっての「かわいい」は概念ではなく衝動であり、制作は「かわいい」という単純な驚きから始まります。作品がどのように解釈されるかよりも、観る人の中でどのような反応が生まれるのかに関心があります。私は、その反応が立ち上がる瞬間そのものを、作品との関係として捉えています。

触れられる素材や親密な形態によって、観る人が無意識に距離を縮めてしまう状況をつくるため、毛糸を編むという行為を用いた立体作品を制作しています。

現在は、素材やスケールを拡張しながら、個人的な感覚が他者や空間と接続する可能性を探っています。

For me, “kawaii” isn’t a concept but an impulse. 
My work begins with the sudden surprise of something feeling kawaii. 
I care less about interpretation than the instant a response arises in the viewer. 
Using soft, tactile materials and knitted forms, 
I create moments where people unconsciously draw closer, 
while expanding materials and scale to connect personal sensations with others and space.
